"When I try to erase the source code, it won't let me!"

Posted by ExplosiveSquid on Sunday, February 23, 2014, In : Gadgets
Newer versions of Opera (15+) are based on the Chromium engine, which does not allow users to edit the source code of a webpage. In order to do this, use an earlier version of Opera (we recommend version 12.16, which you can download here).

"Why wouldn't it let me delete those html on closet swap thingy :("

Posted by ExplosiveSquid on Tuesday, November 19, 2013, In : Gadgets
Make sure you're using Opera 12.16, not the inferior Opera 17. Opera 17 took away a lot of features that were present in Opera 12.16, such as the ability to edit source code.

You can download Opera 12.16 here: [LINK]

"How do i erase the Source Code on Opera webbrowser? I think i have the newest one, and you can no longer do that.

Posted by ExplosiveSquid on Thursday, October 31, 2013,
Do you have a link to the older browser."

You are correct, source code editing is no longer supported by the latest version of Opera (Opera 15+). You may download Opera 12.16 here.

Alternatively, if you use Google Chrome, you may use the Page Edit extension to the same effect.

"isnt it against ww terms & condition to use the gadgets like mass friend adder, and mass msg sender pro"

Posted by ExplosiveSquid on Monday, September 30, 2013, In : Gadgets
It is not against WeeWorld's Terms & Conditions to use Mass Friend Adder or Mass Message Sender. It is against the rules to use Gadgets that require you to edit source code. However, all of our Gadgets are reasonably undetectable. If you're not sure if a Gadget is against the rules, check if it requires you to load modified source code using Opera (if it does, it will say).

"What browsers does the MASS FRIEND ADDER PRO work on? And is it against the ww rules to use the mass friend adder?"

Posted by ExplosiveSquid on Monday, September 30, 2013, In : Gadgets
Mass Friend Adder PRO does not require the use of any external browser. The only Gadgets that require Opera are the Gadgets that involve the editing of source code, and MFAPRO is not one of these Gadgets.

It is not against WeeWorld's Terms & Conditions to use Mass Friend Adder. It is against the rules to use Gadgets that require you to edit source code. However, all of our Gadgets are reasonably undetectable.

"For The regular gadgets like mms, mfa do you need opera browser?"

Posted by ExplosiveSquid on Monday, September 2, 2013, In : Gadgets
No. Opera is only required for Gadgets that require you to edit the source code of a webpage (Closet Swap, World Explorer, etc). Gadgets like Mass Message Sender, Mass Friend Adder, WeeMee Extractor, etc, do not require Opera to be installed.

If any Gadget we create does require Opera, we will always make sure to include that information in the Gadget's description.

"YO squidy man i would like to post a tutorial soon on other ways to edit source code other than using opera"

Posted by ExplosiveSquid on Sunday, September 1, 2013, In : WeeWorld Answers
If you would like to submit a tutorial to us, either send us an email or use our contact form. We eagerly await your submission!

For the record, the reason that some of our Gadgets require Opera is the fact no other browser offers the ability to apply changes to source code. Simply saving the edits as an HTML file and opening them will not work.

We recently added a notice to the top of our Gadgets page about this. The new version of Opera (Opera 15) no longer supports source code editing. Luckily, you can always download the previous (superior) version here: [LINK]

"Can you give me a tutorial on how to use closet swap ? I watched the video and it doesn't work now when I try to delete the html codes it doesn't delete."

Posted by ExplosiveSquid on Wednesday, July 3, 2013, In : Gadgets
If you click the "Help" button in the Gadget (it appears once you are presented with the source code) it will give you instructions detailing how to use it.

Are you sure you're using the Opera browser? It's the only one that allows you to edit the source code while the page is displayed.

"How do u use the closet swap? :O"

Posted by ExplosiveSquid on Wednesday, May 15, 2013, In : Gadgets
First, extract it from the .RAR or .ZIP archive that you downloaded it in, and then run Closet Swap. It'll take a moment to open.

1.) Sign into your account using the Gadget.

2.) Enter the info of the WeeMee you want to see the closet of. You'll need to enter their Username and WeeMee ID. If you don't know what their WeeMee ID is, just enter their Username and click 'OK'. The Gadget will get their WeeMee ID for you.

3.) Finally, it will present you with modified Shop source code. You will need...

"Squidly, I downloaded your World thingy (World Explorer 3) and I do have the Opera browser but it says that I didn't. Then it just froze while loading at 44%. This happened both times I tried."

Posted by ExplosiveSquid on Wednesday, January 2, 2013, In : Gadgets
It will say you don't have Opera if it's not installed in the default location or not on the C: drive.

If it freezes at 44%, try unchecking "Disable Loading Ads". This should fix the problem.

"On your "WeeWorld Closet Swap Gadget" you have to download the "Opera" browser in order to get the gadget. Can you please make it so we DON'T have to download "Opera?" Thank you."

Posted by ExplosiveSquid on Saturday, October 6, 2012, In : Gadgets
Unfortunately, Opera is the only browser that allows one to edit the source code of a webpage. If you do not wish to install Opera, you can get a "portable" version here. It downloads as a single .exe that doesn't need to be installed, and can be deleted after use.

Posted by ExplosiveSquid on Sunday, May 27, 2012, In : Level Boosters
You can use Inspect Element in Opera and Google Chrome. Right-click anywhere that shows your level (as long as it isn't a flash element) and click "Inspect Element". You may then change the value of your level, but only temporarily.

There is no method to permanently change your level.
